What We Actually Do
We work on garage doors and the hardware that runs them - springs, cables, rollers, tracks, openers, and panels. A lot of the houses on this side of Cottonwood went up in the 1960s and 70s, and that stock brings a specific set of problems: original torsion hardware that's stiff or undersized, openers from a decade or two ago that are on their last chain, and panels that have taken sun damage for years in a climate band the federal data flags as severe heat. That heat matters more than people think. Nylon rollers dry out and crack, lubricant cooks off cables faster than it would somewhere milder, and steel doors expand and contract enough over a season to loosen hardware that was fine when it was installed.

If it's a structural problem with the framing around the opening, we'll tell you straight that it's outside what we price or fix, and point you toward what you actually need.

When you call or request a quote, we ask a handful of questions before we ever talk numbers: the age of the door if you know it, whether it's a single or double, what it's doing (won't open, off track, loud, opener dead, spring snapped), and whether you've noticed rust, sagging, or a cracked panel. Photos help more than a description does - a picture of the spring, the track, and the opener unit usually tells us most of what we need.
What we can't price over the phone is anything that depends on what's actually going on once we're standing in front of it. A broken torsion spring on a double door is a different job than a bent track from a car bump, even though both might sound similar on the phone. Panel replacement depends on whether your door's model is still made or close to it. Opener issues can be a $20 sensor or a dead board. We'll give you a real number, not a guess, once we've seen the door - that's not us stalling, it's us not wanting to quote you wrong and then argue about it later.
